Briana Balusek grew up in Houston, Texas and recently moved to Edna, Texas, a little over 4 years ago with her family. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Texas A&M in 2007. During her undergraduate studies, she was involved in Phi Beta Lambda and served as a Mentor as well as the Committee Chair for Fundraising and Corporate Sponsorship.
Briana attended her first year of law school at Case Western Reserve University School of Law and served as a member of the International Law Society. After her first year, she moved back home and began working at an oil and gas law firm in the Houston area while attending law school in the evenings. During her graduate studies, Briana was a member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN) and participated in directed research for the Texas Innocence Network. Briana earned her Juris Doctorate from The University of Houston Law Center in 2012. After graduating from law school, Briana obtained over 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry through a variety of roles, including as an oil and gas attorney.
Briana and her husband, Russell, are currently raising two children, Addison and Preston, and thoroughly enjoy the community of Victoria and the surrounding counties. In her spare time, Briana enjoys listening to live music, cooking, spending time with family and friends, running and being outdoors, and travelling.
