Mr. West currently practices law with Kliem & Associates, focusing primarily on estate planning, probate, business law, real estate matters, and Medicaid planning. Prior to joining the firm, he served as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Victoria, an Assistant District Attorney for Victoria County, an Assistant County Attorney for Lee County, and previously worked as a prosecutor for Navajo County, Arizona. Before entering the legal profession, Mr. West also worked as an elementary school teacher, an experience that continues to shape his approachable and client-focused communication style.
Originally from Henderson, Nevada (a suburb of Las Vegas), Mr. West earned his bachelor's degree form Utah Valley State College (now Utah Valley University) and received his Juris Doctorate from Sandra Day O'Conner College of Law at Arizona State University. He has lived in Victoria for approximately for four years and has enjoyed becoming part of the local community and serving clients throughout Victoria and the surrounding counties. You may also recognize him from the state if you saw the local production of "Clue" (Colonel Mustard) or "The Little Mermaid" (King Triton).
Mr. West currently serves on the Board of Directors for Meals on Wheels of South Texas and also serves in the bishopric of his church congregation. In addition, he has volunteered as a Little League baseball coach for approximately eight years and most recently coached in the Little Leagues Major Division for a team sponsored by Kliem & Associates.
He enjoys helping individuals, families, and business owners make thoughtful plans for the future and work to avoid unforeseen legal issues. Mr. West is passionate about building strong relationships with his clients and strives to provide high-quality legal services tailored to each client's individual needs.
